How Season 1 runs

1. 1

   Check your players

   • At least 4 playersThere's no maximum. Bring a deep squad if you like.
   • An active DUPR profile eachWith details matching what you give the league. Your ratings set your team's division.
   • Pickleball Australia or Victoria membershipActive for the whole season. It carries your insurance at VPL matches, and it's mandatory.
   • The team playing topEvery registered player buys and wears it for every fixture.
2. 2

   Register for your home venueNow

   Registrations close 15 November 2026

   The captain registers the team online and picks the venue it plays for. Your venue approves the entry, then you’re asked to pay the team entry fee through Lader. You’re registered once the full roster and the fee have reached the league.

   Entry is $1,000 per team, including 4 playing tops. Any further player buys their own top for $40.

   Get your division

   Divisions confirmed 22 November 2026

   Add up the DUPR ratings of your team’s four highest-rated players. That total places you, not which box you tick. Only the top four count, so adding newer players never moves you down.

   • DUPR 13Top four players’ combined DUPR up to 13.00
   • DUPR 15Top four players’ combined DUPR up to 15.00
   • DUPR 17Top four players’ combined DUPR up to 17.00

   Above 17.00, or fewer than four players with a rating? Register anyway: the league places the team by hand. Every placement is confirmed once registrations close.

4. 4

   Play Sundays

   Round 1 29 November 2026

   You play every team in your division once, home and away across the venues. Every round, each venue has one team at home and one away. If a player’s rating moves a lot during the season, the league reviews their eligibility.

   7 rounds: every team plays every other team once

   4 players, 3 rounds of doubles: 6 matches, everyone partners everyone

   Each match

   Best of 3 sets to 11. Deciding set: rally scoring to 11, frozen at 10

   Ladder points

   1 per set won, plus 2 for the team win

   Finals

   Finals from 14 February 2027

   The top 4 teams in each division make the finals: the semi-finals on 14 February 2027, then the Grand Final and the bronze match on 21 February 2027.

Schedule

Every round is on a Sunday, 3:00pm–5:00pm. Which venue hosts each round comes with the fixture, once registrations close.
