By registering, Victoria Pickleball League and your venue enter the Participating Venue Agreement for Season 1.
Read the agreement summary (10 points)
In summary, the venue agrees to:
- Be affiliated with Pickleball Victoria. The agreement runs for 12 months from signing and renews for further 12-month terms unless either party gives 60 days' notice.
- Pay the season venue registration fee set out in the agreement. It is non-refundable once the official fixture is confirmed.
- Make the required courts available for scheduled home fixtures — up to 6 courts, for the full 3:00pm–5:00pm window every Sunday you host.
- Reserve those courts once the fixture is confirmed, and not cancel or reallocate them except in exceptional circumstances.
- Invoice the VPL for court hire at the rate set out in the agreement. Time beyond 5:00pm is at the venue's cost; warm-up before 3:00pm is the venue's call.
- Promote the league, recruit players, and finalise the teams representing the venue. Team entry fees are paid to the VPL through Lader.
- Provide a safe and suitable playing environment, maintain public liability insurance, and keep amenities and lighting fit for competition.
- Abide by and enforce the Pickleball Victoria Code of Conduct at all VPL fixtures hosted at the venue.
- Display approved league sponsor signage and material, within reason.
- Run no other multi-venue league during the term. Social play, coaching and Pickleball Australia or Pickleball Victoria events are not affected.
In return the VPL runs the competition centrally — structure, fixtures, rules, registrations, ladders, finals, marketing, sponsorship and awards — and pays the venue for court hire on scheduled fixtures, at the rate in the agreement.
This summary is not the agreement. The full Participating Venue Agreement, including Schedule 1 (the Pickleball Victoria Code of Conduct), is sent for signature and governs where the two differ.
