Pickleball in Victoria has grown fast. There are great venues, busy social sessions and a lot of players who want more than another drop-in game. The Victoria Pickleball League gives them that: a team, a home venue and a real season to play for.
Every great pickleball community starts at a venue. The VPL is here to back those venues: filling their courts, bringing new players through their doors, and giving their members a team and a season to play for. We look after the venues, so they can keep looking after their community.
Four venues, one league
The VPL starts with four founding venues in Melbourne's south-east: Eastern Indoor Sports Centre in Knoxfield, Pickle4Real in Mentone, Raya in Cheltenham and State Pickleball Centre in Bayswater.
Every team represents one of them. Your venue approves your team, and you carry its name into every round, home and away across the network. It's club pride, the way local footy works, brought to pickleball.
Every game a fair one
Teams are graded on DUPR into three divisions: DUPR 13, DUPR 15 and DUPR 17, based on the combined rating of each team's top four players. Adding newer players never moves a team down, so the divisions stay honest and you play teams at your level, not whoever turned up.
Season 1
Season 1 is played on Sunday afternoons, 3:00pm to 5:00pm. Every team plays every other team in its division, then the top four play off in two weeks of finals. A team keeps its name and history from season to season, so what you build now carries on.
- Entries close: Sunday 15 November 2026
- Round one: Sunday 29 November 2026
- Grand Final: Sunday 21 February 2027
The league is endorsed by Pickleball Australia and Pickleball Victoria, and supported by its partners Franklin, Pacific Team Sports and Lader. Four venues and Season 1 are the start, not the whole: as more venues join across Victoria, the league grows with them.
